Having a Father and a Grandfather with a martial arts background it became very clear early on that martial arts was not going to be a fad for India Mae.
By the age of 12 she had won her first world title representing England in Italy.
On her 14th birthday India Mae won the European Championship in Italy again but this time prompting written acknowledgement from number 10 and the then Prime Minister, David Cameron.
At just 16, India Mae took on 3 World Championships in 3 different countries in 29 days. Her goal was to win one gold at each world championship.
That goal was achieved and more, returning to the UK with 7 world title golds, 6 silvers and 3 bronze medals. An incredible 16 world championship medals in 29 days.
This achievement was acknowledged by India Mae receiving The British Martial Arts Awards; “Junior Female Martial Artist Of The Year, 2018”
Currently India Mae is taking time out from the competition circuits while remaining unbeaten in the boxing ring.
